haha that made me laugh!! I got a form from my partners work saying week of "Confinement" and i thought by the form it meant the week you were due but wanted to check, so i had a wee look on google saw your comment thing first and thought thank god its not just me..what a shit way to put it 'week of confinement' what a pile of crap!

I've been reading for ages and this grumpy man needs a quality dumping. Not only that he sounds the stalker type :S

well a couple of times they said i was big for dates and sent off for scans but both times the scan showed the size to be perfectly fine. when he was born he was around 7 pounds so not big at all. i think it was just the way i was carrying him that made him seem big.

doctors are never great at calming fears but midwives are usually better, maybe see if you can just chat to one earlier if you worrying.

Hi there

Just came across your point while I was searching Google for people with similar experiences - how did your additional scan go?

I've been to the doctors today for my 24 week check and was told like you that baby seems to be growing too quickly and I seem much more along that everything had thought. I was asked whether diabetes ran in the family (which is doesn't). No further tests have been arranged but I've been left really worried - doctor did nothing to calm my fears at all, infact she really scared me.

Hope things are going well for you anyway. I guess all I can do is wait until my next blood tests in 4 weeks time and raise the issue with my midwife. I'm really scared though.
